Mobility Aids buying guide

Choosing the right mobility aid

The right mobility aid depends on how much support a person needs, where it will be used and how easily it must fold for transport. Canes offer light balance support, walkers and rollators provide more stability, and wheelchairs support people who cannot walk longer distances. Seat height, weight capacity, handle height and overall width all affect comfort and safety.

Sizing and fit

Handle height for canes, walkers and rollators is generally set near wrist height when standing with arms relaxed. Wheelchair seat width and depth should match the user's measurements. Speak with your healthcare provider or a physical therapist to determine which product and size is appropriate for your individual needs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a walker and a rollator?
A standard walker has no wheels or two front wheels and is lifted or glided forward, offering maximum stability. A rollator has three or four wheels, hand brakes and usually a seat, making it better suited to people who can walk steadily but need rest breaks.
Can I return a mobility aid if it doesn't fit?
Unused items in original packaging may be eligible for return under our Returns Policy. Please review the policy or contact us before sending an item back.
Do you offer bulk pricing for facilities?
Yes. Facilities and organizations can request volume pricing through our quote request form or by applying for a business account.
