Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to an accessible website and how to let us know if something isn't working for you.

On this page

Watchful Alert is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies. Many of our customers are older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers, and we want everyone to be able to find information and products independently.

Our accessibility goal

We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is a widely recognized standard that explains how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities.

WCAG 2.2 AA is our target. We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit, and we do not claim that every page currently conforms to the standard.

What we are doing

Accessibility is part of how we design and build the website. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Using semantic HTML, clear headings and landmarks so content is well structured for screen readers.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Designing with sufficient color contrast and readable, resizable text.
  • Labeling form fields clearly and describing errors in text.
  • Respecting reduced-motion preferences and avoiding content that flashes.
  • Reviewing new pages and features for accessibility before they are published.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. For example, some product documents and manuals are supplied by manufacturers in formats (such as PDF) that we do not control and that may not be fully accessible, and some third-party tools or embedded content may have limitations.

If you need information from a document or page that you cannot access, please contact us and we will work to provide it in an alternative format.

Assistive technology and browsers

The website is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers and with commonly used assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers. Older browsers or technologies may not display content as intended.

Report an accessibility barrier

We welcome your feedback. If you experience difficulty using any part of the website, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know. Helpful details include the page address (URL), a description of the problem and the browser and assistive technology you were using.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We will continue to review the website, address issues as they are identified and update this statement as our work progresses.
